Community Garden Camp (Morning Makers)
with Gardens of Millvale
Spend the week at the Gardens of Millvale! Learn about gardening, growing and cooking your own food, and the impact of a community garden. The morning group will make outdoor crafts, harvest vegetables from the library garden bed, help with regular garden upkeep, and work with Ms. Danielle from Tupelo Honey Teas to learn about preparing foods using homegrown ingredients.
Environmental Camp (Morning Makers)
with Sustainable Millvale
What can you do to protect the environment? Learn about local wildlife, renewable energy, and keeping our rivers and water clean. Spend an afternoon down by the Allegheny River and go on a clean up scavenger hunt! Learn about things you can do to keep our planet happy and healthy!
Fiber and Fashion Camp (Morning Makers)
with Nora Peters
Experiment with sewing, dyeing, manipulating, upcycling, and creating clothing and accessories! Learn to use a sewing machine or become a master at hand sewing! Make something you are proud of and strut your stuff at the MCL fashion show at the end of the summer!
MakeShop Camp (Morning Makers)
with Children's Museum
Jump into the summer ready to become a maker! Spend three days working at the MCL with a teaching artist from the Pittsburgh Children's Museum. Work on hands-on projects, make a few new friends, and end the week with an *optional* field trip to the Children's Museum on Friday June 16th.
*UPDATE* We will be working on projects exploring making through sound. Music, instruments, beats, and rhythm... what you MAKE is up to you!
Millvale Maker Bootcamp (Morning Makers)

Work in the MCL's Clubhouse maker space. Learn something new, create something awesome, and make some new friends. This camp will be led by our summer teaching artist.
Pottery Camp (Morning Makers)

Get messy and make some awesome ceramic stuff! Cups! Mugs! Trays and platters! Work with local potter, Dan Kuhn, in his studio right here in Millvale!
