Spicy salsa, green smoothies, tasty dips, and crunchy chips... work with our neighbor Tupelo Honey Teas, and learn to make snacks that the other campers will get to enjoy as well!
Environmental Camp (Afternoon Makers)
with Sustainable Millvale
Learn what you can do to help protect the environment! Learn survival skills, go on a tour of the sustainable feature of Millvale, complete an environmental scavenger hunt, and learn about local wildlife. The afternoon group will spend the last day of camp out on a boat on the Allegheny River, helping to keep our rivers and shores clean.
Fiber and Fashion Camp (Afternoon Makers)
with Nora Peters
Learn how to dye, upcycle, and manipulate fabric using hand sewing and a sewing machine to create your own clothing and accessories. Strut yourself in our fashion show at the end of camp.
MakeShop Camp (Afternoon Makers)
with Children's Museum
In partnership with the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh, we will have the chance to learn what it means to be a maker! Spend three days working with a teaching artist from the Children's Museum, and end the week with an *optional* field trip to the museum on Friday June 16th.
*UPDATE* We will be working on projects exploring making through sound. Music, instruments, beats, and rhythm... what you MAKE is up to you!
